Water Lily at Longwood Gardens

These shots were taken with a Nikon D-300 and the Lens was a nikor 80-400mm
ISO 100 Shutter speed 1/60 sec. f-11 to 25
It's better to take these type of photographs before the sun gets to bright, of course I didn't get there early enough but I am happy with these results...Gary

Longwood Gardens vs. D200

So today we as a family took a trip up to longwood gardens to shoot some of the coolest looking flowers from all around the world. Most of my shots were taken with one of the cheapest lens that nikon makes. The 18-55 lens was given to you when you buy a lower grade nikon and it may be the best lens I have. Now a days people seem to be hung up on going out and getting the best stuff to shoot with but at the end of the day its all in the eye and brain. Now dont get me wrong a 1000 dollar lens would be great but in reality thats not going to happen any time soon so until then................................Brian Gillis

Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa

Valerie and I traveled to Longwood Gardens in Pennsilvania last week, it wasn't our first time there so we were ready to take some great pictures. This is a great place to visit even if your not a photographer. The doors open at 9:00 am, try to get there early because tripods are only allowed in the water garden area till 12:00 pm. We stayed all day from about 10:00 am till 4:00 pm and still didn't get to all the places inside Longwood.Go to their website for more info www.longwoodgardens.org
