So today we as a family took a trip up to longwood gardens to shoot some of the coolest looking flowers from all around the world. Most of my shots were taken with one of the cheapest lens that nikon makes. The 18-55 lens was given to you when you buy a lower grade nikon and it may be the best lens I have. Now a days people seem to be hung up on going out and getting the best stuff to shoot with but at the end of the day its all in the eye and brain. Now dont get me wrong a 1000 dollar lens would be great but in reality thats not going to happen any time soon so until then................................Brian Gillis

Monsters from the Id
Well not exactly a monster more like my pet chameleon Colonel Bleep, who likes to hang out in a tree. Depth of field is always a concern when trying shots like this. I just took the easy way out and used auto program and the pop up flash, iso 400, 1/60 sec./f-6.3....It's always nice to have a captive subject to photograph...Gary
